The only one's I have to compare it to are the two atheist groups (the NYC atheists and the Brights), which aren't all that much fun, and Philosophy Now, which is good because it's run by an actual philosophy professor, but there's a limit of twelve people, so it's great in a strictly philosophical sense, but not great in the way NYC Philosophy is both philosophical and social. ”

“ A great bunch of people, mostly on the conservative/right-wing side of world views. I think everyone was respectful of the differences in opinion though. I personally enjoyed it, but I would not recommend it for people who are strongly opinionated with a liberal/leftist twist. The dynamics can get surreal when the question becomes whether or not to invade Iran/North Korea now that Iraq has been liberated from a variety of viewpoints on the right:) I personally would also like to participate in a progressive philosophical/political discussion group to complement/balance this one. ”
