Philosophy Roulette is one of our more popular meeting formats. Come to the event with *any* philosophical topic or question in mind. Within the discussion groups, members are randomly selected and topics are actively debated for 20 minutes.

A Roulette event is quite energetic and over the course of the evening many interesting topics usually come up. And if a topic happens to be uninteresting to you, no big deal, since very soon another topic will be selected. Sometimes the topics are quite creative!

Join Us at Irish Rogue!

We are back at Irish Rogue, conveniently located in the Theater District. We have the entire second floor (stairs in the back) for this private event.

@markian: the straight dope has a good take on it. one interpretation is that the slave was getting drunk after failing to swat flies from his master's horse, causing the horse to throw and kill his master. Don't think you'd see those lyrics too much these days.

Second Topic: Jimmy cracked corn and I don't care, my master's gone away....what the heck does that mean and what's cracking corn?

First topic: Is it ethical to televise death row inmates playing Russian roulette? Is it ethical to charge money for the event? Is it ethical to release the winner?
